We have also delivered 1,000 MMIW decals to the General Federation of Women’s Clubs and donated 2,000 copies of the book "Justice for MMIW - Unveiled Stories and Our Voices" to the community for free to further promote awareness on this issue.

Emily Pike was a beloved 14-year-old girl and a member of the San Carlos Apache Nation, but her life was unjustly taken. She deserved to live a long and beautiful life. Emily loved to paint and create art. She dreamed of going to art school.

Emily was reported missing after she was last seen on January 27th in Mesa, Arizona. Her body was found last month along a highway. The details of how she was found are truly devastating.

Her mother said, "She was just an innocent... she was a baby."

Too many Native people understand the pain of losing their loved ones to the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) crisis.

• In the United States, 80% of Indigenous women and girls experience violence in their lifetime.
• Native women and girls are 10 times more likely to be murdered than non-Indigenous people.
• In 2016, more than 5,700 Indigenous women were reported missing in the U.S., but only 116 cases were officially recorded in federal databases.
• The real numbers are likely much higher due to underreporting and poor data collection.
